Shannon Paul who is an avid fitness enthusiast,
holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (the study of human
movement), which allows her to fully understand how the body
can benefit from exercise. She is also a N.E.S.T.A. certified
Adventure Fitness Trainer, N.A.S.M. certified Personal Trainer
and an Apex Certified Nutrition Specialist. In her college
days she was a scholar athlete and team captain of the women’s
rowing team at San Diego State University. She has worked
in rehabilitation clinics, taught various exercise classes,
organized fitness expeditions and was the Fitness Director
at a prestigious gym on the west coast.
During the course of Shannon’s career she kept coming
across people with pain, stemming from aches and pains to
herniated discs. Shannon wanted to help these people achieve
their fitness goals while achieving a pain free life. In all
of her schooling though, she had always been told to send
people to the doctor or physical therapist for their pain.
The only problem was the clients would typically end up moving
less in daily life due to taking time off or becoming immobilized.
She was tiered of sending people away to live a life of little
movement. So she started to do some research and found Titus
Motion Therapy. This therapy was created by Frank Titus
over 13 years ago. His therapy consists of exercise therapy
in very specific, precise movement patterns to eliminate pain,
not manage it!
Shannon was very pleased to have come across such a great
method of exercise therapy.

Today, Shannon Paul has taken the fitness boot camp to the next level. She has created a program that combines the best in fitness training with therapeutic exercises that improve people’s posture, fitness level and eliminate pain. In today’s society, with the evolution of technology has come a sedentary lifestyle — computers, television and driving are a few of the reasons that human bodies are no longer as active as in the past. One result for this inactivity is poor posture, a culprit of many chronic ailments. Long Beach Adventure Boot Camp utilizes the Titus Motion Therapy model to challenge the body to turn away from the sedentary societal norms, and begin living a healthy, balanced active lifestyle. At Long Beach Adventure Boot Camp we use specific exercises to align the body’s posture to help remind it of it’s innate blueprint for health and fitness through motion. These exercises stress balance and flexibility and generate strength, weight loss, alignment, and much more…
To view what happens to the body when it is out of alignment click here. Notice that when the body is out of alignment, muscle imbalances start to develop which cause unwanted aches and pains. In effort to reduce pain, other joints try to compensate for the pain or dysfunction. As you now walk, run, jog or ride a bike with the new compensation pattern, your body will start to cause destruction to the joints affected throughout the body. These patterns are carried over into your everyday adventures, from work, to play, to relaxation. We train your muscles properly to realign your posture so your work, play and relaxation can be as enjoyable as they can be. |
*Long Beach Adventure Boot Camp incorporates a few TMT exercises
to insure that proper alignment is being achieved throughout
camp. If you are interested in learning more about TMT or
would like to go through the 8-week course to become pain
free without surgery, drugs etc. please contact 310.828.9268
