How do I sign up now?
Go to the registration
page and fill out the registration form. After filling
out the registration form, please follow the payment instructions,
we accept cash or check. Once we've received your registration
information, we'll contact you to schedule your pre-camp evaluation.
What is the Pre Camp Evaluation?
The Pre-Camp Evaluation includes the following:
- We will give you an introduction to Boot Camp and answer
any questions you may have. We will also review your medical
history.
- We will take a few simple measurements to see where you
are prior to beginning camp. We don't care what the measurements
show. It's strictly for a post-camp comparison. These numbers
and all other information will be held in the strictest
confidence.
- We will record your weight and measure your body fat percentage.
Again, the numbers don't matter. We just want to be able
to measure your improvement. Don't be surprised if you see
a 3-5% reduction in your body fat over the four weeks! Remember,
the more consistent you are the better your results will
be!
- We will analyze your posture and perform a gait analysis.
This will show any muscular imbalances that we can get rid
of with exercises
- We will make sure you know how to get to camp in the morning
so you don’t have any excuses!
- See you at camp!
What do I need to bring to camp?
You will need to bring one set of 5 - 8 lb. hand weights and
any type of exercise mat (You can get both of these at any
local Target or K-Mart type stores). You will also want to
bring water to keep yourself hydrated during camp. Optional
items are a towel to dry off with and gloves or mittens in
the winter. Dress in a layers and even if it is chilly don’t
worry you will get warm very fast! And always bring a good
attitude!

What should I wear?
Something comfortable! Usually boot-campers wear a pair of athletic
pants or shorts, long sleeve t-shirt or regular t-shirt. You
want clothing that will whisk the perspiration away. Don’t
forget a good pair of running shoes! The ones you’ve
had forever won’t do. Try and
What if I sign up for the three day plan and then want
to attend more days of the camp?
Many boot-campers realize after they start camp how fun and convenient
it is so they request to sign up for more days. Campers also
realize that they will obtain greater results if the attend
more frequently. In these situations, you will simply be pro-rated
from the point you decide to join us for more days.
Will I be sore sometimes?
Most people feel some soreness for the first 2-3 days. After
that point, it is slight to moderate. It's part of the process
that lets you improve!
What kinds of people go to camp?
They are people just like you. Someone who needs a little
push to jump start their fitness and wellness program. Whether
you have little exercise experience or many years of experience,
we will push you closer to your goals. Some exercise experience
is needed to ensure your safety and a better flow of class.

Is there a refund policy?
We can only give you a credit towards another boot camp if
you are unable to continue with the one you began due of circumstances
beyond your control. This credit is non-transferable. Credit
is not given towards private training, and there are no cash
refunds. This is not negotiable.
What is a typical day like at camp?
That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different
to alleviate boredom. You can expect Spencer Pilates, mat
work, Sport Yoga™, Strength Yoga™, some light
running, weight training, obstacle courses, core training
and jumping rope each week. On special days, you will go hiking.
It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! We teach
you a great deal about proper form and "core stability."
How soon will I see results?
Performance improvement can take place in as little as three
days. "Visual Improvement" can take from two to
four weeks depending on your effort level. It's becoming common
to see a camper go down 1-2 dresses sizes within the first
camp. Remember, everyone is different!
Are there shower facilities, or a place I can get ready
for work?
If you have a membership to the local gyms you can use their
facility and get ready for work there.
What will my drive time be?
Drive time will vary depending on what area of the city you
are traveling from. Call for the drive time/directions to
the location. Remember, classes are early enough in the morning
that traffic is usually light.
What will I do after camp is over?
You can get re-measured and tested. We will discuss your results
to show your progress and success in the program. Many (up
to 80%) of the campers return for a second and even third
camp.
What other events are included or offered?
On occasion there will be special events hosted by Long Beach
Adventure Boot Camp. These will be educational or community
related events which will allow you to learn about health
and fitness, contribute to the community, and socialize with
other members of the boot camp outside of our daily workout
sessions. You will receive more details about special events
on the other pages within this website and out at camp in
the mornings first hand.
