Have you noticed other people around class wearing race shirts?

Do you read them and think "that's what they do, not me.?"  These shirts people have on...They are from all kinds of events.  5K, 10K, fun runs, mud runs, walks to raise money for a cause/cure, half marathons, full marathons, holiday runs, solstice runs, beer runs, whatever they are for, they are a badge of honor.  Just like the bootcamp shirts we wear proudly to show we have earned our medal.  These shirts are for you too.  Maybe you've never ran or participated in a ra

  • Changes

    by Jo Hendrix

What changes do you notice in yourself since beginning Boot Camp?

    Increasing:

    Strength

Your core isn't the only thing that is stronger! Your shoulders are starting to increase the sculpted look in your arms, and those biceps are budding beautifully. Your legs are tighter, your butt a little more lifted & your calves have the hill to thank for their definition.

  • Winter Games

If you have turned on the t.v. or read the paper at all in the last week you'd know

that the east coast has enough snow to go 'round for next year's winter, Tiger Woods is very sorry, AND... the winter Olympics rock!!

  • Bootcamp Buzz

    What a great hill!!

For all those who came out to the hill Friday, I would like to say AWESOME JOB!  Man, we ended the week on a high.  A bootcamp buzz.  I saw some new faces out there on the hill, and some that never miss.  I love that those new faces accepted my challenge earlier in the week to try the hill. Thank you for rising up!  You did great!  Those that come every week, I am proud of you too.

“Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.

    There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure.

We were born to make manifest
the glory of God that is within us.

  • Nutrition - Treat Yourself Well

    by Jo Hendrix

Nutrition is THE most challenging behavior to change.

Why? Because it is such a BIG part of our lives.  Culture, family life, social scene, work environment, holidays, celebrations, pleasure, comfort, convenience, habit & addiction - these are all aspects of why many people find it so difficult to change their nutrition habits.  Not only is it THE most difficult behavior to change, but it also plays the lead role in changing body composition (70-80% of this act is ALL nutrition).

  • Nutrition-Do you really want to change?

What a great start to 2010 we had this past month.

We put the lazy holiday syndrome behind us, got back on our routine track, and continued moving in the direction we desire- towards our goals.  That also tells me that "WOW!
