What is 30-60-90?


Long Beach Boot Camp is hosting its very first 90-day health, weight, and fitness challenge. We are challenging and supporting you to make a lifestyle change to get in shape, shed some pounds, and be the healthiest you can be in 90 days. Through this process we want you to be your healthiest and the entire Long Beach Boot Camp Team will be going through the process with you.
 

Why 30-60-90?

Long Beach Boot Camp is committed to supporting you through the process.  Our free & interactive website will provide you with many tools, nutrition resources, blogs by our trainers, trainer tips for shopping & food journaling, and forums for you to engage with trainers and with one another.

Contestants are encouraged to sign up with a buddy to help keep one another motivated and accountable.  This way you can share your experience (food journals, work out schedules, recipes, ideas, etc.) with one another while encouraging and supporting one another to stick with your individual goals and succeed together.

Local restaurants were excited to partner with us, inspired by this 90-Day Challenge.  Tantalum, The Factory, and Kafe Neo have already revamped their menu to provide Boot Camp approved menu items!  The community support is amazing and there is so much excitement in encouraging each other in our goals to get our healthiest.

                            

 

Discounts:

Long Beach Boot Camp also offers a discount to registered participants in 30-60-90 for attending Boot Camp.

$10 off each Boot Camp for those participating in 30-60-90. Upon purchase of your camp session, please note in your Order Comments that you are a registsered 30-60-90 participant & you will be refunded upon verification.
$20 off each Boot Camp ($60 total) for those participating in 30-60-90 if they wish to attend Camp 6, 7 & 8 and pay in a lump sum. Please call the office to register for all 3 camps for a total of $60 off. (M-F 9-5pm 562.343.5230)

The Toolbox:

You wouldn't use a hammer on a screw and expect it to work the way it was designed.  The right tools for the job are necessary to get the results you desire.  We will be using our experience as real people and sharing tools.  Take some, leave some.  Get ones that work for what goal you wish to accomplish.  Get creative with the tools you choose for yourself. Think about how you can improve and grow as a person.  Perhaps you don't need to lose weight.  Tools are not necessarily related to physical wellness.  There are 7 aspects of wellness - emotional, intellectual, physical, environmental, social, occupational, and spiritual. Perhaps your healthy change will be focused on one or more of the 3: physical, emotional, spiritual. If it matters to you, then it should be what you pick.

Tools will be provided in our video blogs. A couple examples: Coach Shannon's first tool is to eat one meal in a calm environment at least once a day. Coach Sami's is to focus on one of her qualities she loves most about herself through visual reminders in her living environment.

The Parties
:

Have you ever been to a 5 or 10k and just wanted to stick around to celebrate?  It's infectious and you can feel it in the air when a group of people get together with all of their good energy to be their personal best. During this 90-Day Challenge there will be 3 parties to mark each 30 days at 3 of our supporting local restaurants.  We will celebrate our changes, share what tips and tools have worked for us, and re-energize from the infectious positive energy of the group.

We will have a few guest presenters sharing as well, so don't miss out on all the good stuff!

Party Dates, Locations & Times:

30 day celebration at Kafe Neo:      July 7th        6-8pm
60 day celebration at The Factory:  August 5th   6-8pm
90 day celebration at Tantalum:       Sep 16th      6-8pm


Cash winnings & prizes:

There will be a whopping 30 winners and 3 different ways to win:

1. Percentage of body weight lost
2. Total number of pounds lost
3. The most compelling and inspirational written testimonial. Describe your success utilizing the tools provided by Long Beach Boot Camp and how it has changed your life and the lives of those around you. Due by Sept 8th 2010 (email Seema@LongBeachBootCamp.com)

There will be many participants that win cold, hard, cash, a free Long Beach Boot Camp or one of our many other donated prizes! 100% of all monies collected over the 90 days will be distributed amongst the winners. Who's up for the challenge?

What are the Rules?

1. Contest begins on June 7th. By no later than June 22nd all participants must do the following to be eligible in the competition: A) initial weigh-in by our staff, B) registration & release forms turned in, C) cash entry fee of $60 turned in. NO EXCEPTIONS.

2. You do not need to be enrolled in a Long Beach Boot Camp session to be eligible. We do encourage you to be involved in an exercise program in order to be more successful. This is a friendly competition to help promote weight loss. Financial commitment is $60, unless weight is gained during the competition (see rule #3).

3. Each contestant must pay $2 for each pound (or portion thereof) gained in 1 week's time (at the time of weigh-in) to remain eligible. Example: 1.2 lbs. gained = $4

4. You must weigh-in on Monday or Tuesday of each week at the Long Beach Boot Camp office OR at your LBBC class to remain eligible in the competition. Over the 12-week contest, participants are allowed to miss 1 weigh-in and thereafter will be charged a $5 penalty fee for missing additional weigh-ins.

5. Each contestant must weigh-in with his or her shoes on. Taking off shoes takes too much time.
Try and wear the same outfit and/or shoes to keep the weigh-in consistent.

6. Each contestant must weigh-in with a Long Beach Boot Camp instructor or staff member to remain eligible. All weigh-ins are private and confidential.

7. Final weigh-in date will be Tuesday, September 7th. You must weigh-in the final week. A winners list will be sent out via email as well as posted on the website forum using registration numbers to protect confidentiality.

8. No diet pills or weight loss surgery during the competition is allowed. No crash diets are acceptable; please follow the nutrition recommendations we provide. Contestants must continue to keep eating in a healthy manner, no starving yourself! There is a dietitian available that can help you with your nutrition if you feel you are too low or high in your caloric consumption during the competition.

9. Participants must be 18 or over to participate in the LBBC 30-60-90 Day Challenge.

10. No refunds or transfers for any reason.
 

How do I Register?

Download & Print the Registration and Release forms and bring them with you along with your $60 cash entry fee to our office during one of our registration times. Only cash will be accepted. No registrations will be accepted without payment.

All participants must complete all of the following no later than June 22nd to be eligible in the competition:

A)  Weigh-in with one of our staff
B)  Turn in Registration & Release forms
C)  Paid Cash entry fee of $60

NOTE: 
If you are a boot camper you can turn in your forms and payment to your trainer.
Make sure your trainer weighs you in so they can enter your initial weight on your registration form!
Forms will not be accepted without payment of $60 in cash.


How do I view my Ranking from week to week?

Each week rankings will be posted in our forum every week on Thursday. View Rankings
Your ID # will be used in lieu of your name. Please log in to reference your ID # in your personalized Camper Dashboard.
